How one cat started our journey
Our Journey to Helping Community Cats
How did Fortunate Souls Begin?
Our journey first began in Summer of 2023 when a stray kitten was discovered with a severe tail injury. Unfortunately local shelters were not accepting new cats so our President, Alex, stepped in. The kitten, Ajax, overcame his tail injury through removal surgery & was adopted by Alex & her family.
Since this moment, the call for help has never stopped & so began the start to becoming an official organization.
How can I help?
Fortunate Souls is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is funded soley by your donations. Without our dedicated supporters & donors, we could not continue our work with community & stray cats.
Our organization accepts donations through PayPal & our Amazon Wishlist.
Why is our mission important?
Many years ago we noticed a lack of resources for feral, or community cats. Our goal is to assist in ending the overpopulation of cats by offering spay/neuter clinics and TNR assistance.
Additionally, when we are able to, we assist with stray kitties by getting them fixed, vaccinated & transferring them to our partner organizations to be adopted out.
